In addition to planning the trip itself, we've been busy closing down two houses, packing up (or getting rid of) lots of household and personal items, selling two cars and a boat, making sure our banking and insurance is in order, getting our medications and vaccinations sorted out, and trying to spend quality time with family and friends.
All of this is basically to avoid the "oh my gosh, we never thought about that!" moment a few days/weeks/months after we leave Canada. Feels like we're preparing for our own Y2K...
