Korea

So far Korea hasn't been all that amazing although there are cool things like the giant park behind our apartment with the amusement park and zoo. I have already got my room set up with my new bed, desk and wardrobe. The first week we went to the IKEA which so happens to be the biggest IKEA in the world. I got a stuffed moose, bedding, towels, pillows and meatballs for dinner. We also got a new PS4 for the family at the Yongsan Electronics Market. I got the games Destiny and Little Big Planet 3. We still need a tv to make it work.
We found a nice pizza restaurant that we have eaten at twice- I think Poppa will like it when he comes. We also found a cheap student Mexican restaurant near the apartment.
In homeschooling I'm learning ancient Greek, Korean, Dutch, zoology, English, math and art.
Today we are going to buy a tv.

END OF THE TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The end of the trip has finally come. It feels like along time since we left. And since this is the end I don't think I will be doing any more blogs in Korea.

Probably my favourite thing was petting the caracal in South Africa. My favourite food was from the Netherlands. The best place we stayed was in the house in Jeffrey's Bay, SA. The best internet for a country was Viet Nam and Kuala Lumpur was still not as close. The best zoo was in Paira Daiza in Belgium. The most interesting burger was the camel burger in Morocco. The best pizza was in Italy. Hottest day was 42 degrees at Kruger Park, SA. The coolest cars were a BMW i8 and a Lamborghini Hurricane.

Bye everybody.

Kuala Lampur, Malaysia

So far the food in Kuala Lampur has not been what I had expected from the names of the dishes.

As well as Vietnam, Malaysia is pretty good with the copyrite Lego. I definitely now have enough Lego Iron Man suits. They're also pretty cheap here like Vietnam.

Here's a picture of me in Singapore on Chinese New Year getting ready to buy a pair of chop sticks with my Chinese new year animal signs (I'm a horse by the way).

Today we went to the Adventure Cove water park on Santosa Island. It was really fun to do a lot of the rides. We also got to snorkel with a lot of really cool fish.
Picture
Tonight for dinner we had self cooked pancakes with buttermilk batter at a cool restaurant. It was really good.

So far on my trip I haven't had any sicknesses. Altho I did get an infection on the skin of my ear this past week that my mom thought looked really gross. Polysporin did nothing, then again the 50 cent cream we got for the pharmacy worked unbelievably well. We also think that I broke my toe. Other than that nothing bad has happened to me. I hope nothing bad happens to me now. Bye for now (I would say forever but my mom would yell at me if I did).

This is not what I was expecting for lunch today. A chicken with his head and anus still close by. Somewhat odd and also unappetizing. I only ate a little bit of my food before getting grossed out. Bye.

Shoes, Chips, Knock-off Lego & Burger King

I had to buy new shoes on our trip because my old ones didn't fit anymore. We found "Shoe Street" in Hanoi and I bought some new Nike running shoes.
Picture
We thought my friend, Alex Bruce, would like these Spicy Lobster chips that we found.. We also saw Salted Seaweed Pringles.
Picture
Here in Hanoi we found lots of little Lego knock-offs to buy. One box with a mini-figure in it was about $1 (at home they're $4). You have to read the labels in the photo. I bought 5 characters, and today I'm going back for more. We can also get characters from the newest Star Wars movie, WWII, and Jurassic Park dinos, including the indominous Rex.
Picture
Recognize any of the WWII characters?
Picture
Yesterday we went for lunch at Burger King because we were going through American food withdrawal.

Hoi An

We took a boat from the Old City of Hoi An upriver to a little place called "Pottery Village." We saw some dogs, pottery making and pottery drying. The boat was ok, not great and not bad. The village was not very interesting, but I got a whistle made of pottery shaped like a snake.

Yesterday we went out for dinner, and we felt like we were sitting in someone's living room because there were lots of kids and dogs playing and running around inside and out. This dog would always come over to our table, but when I'd stick my hand out, he'd back away. It seems to be pretty common here to have your pet with you at work.

Here with my friend Stephen Taylor on Christmas night in Vietnam. He and his girlfriend, Jessie, came for dinner.

This is at the beach in Vietnam in front of our cabana, getting ready to go swimming. The name of our server is Meow! She likes my skin colour and is always wearing two sweaters and a long sleeve shirt because she wants to keep her skin light. The sand gets in my shorts when I'm swimming. And  I hit the ground underwater because the waves have so much force on me so it drives me into the sand. It's scary but fun.
Picture
Here we are buying bracelets on the beach, and getting talked in to buying more.
