Dead Sea & Delicious Waffle Dinner

24/11/2015

Today we went to the Dead Sea. Being in the Dead Sea is one of the weirdest experiences in your life. You will never have the sensation of floating ... just floating around and not even having to try to swim is so odd. When you touch the bottom of the lake you can grab a hand full of salt and see how clear and transparent it is. The salt water stings any cuts and scrapes on your body. I had a sore spot and it really hurt. It was pretty cool being at the lowest spot in the world.

For dinner we went to this amazing waffle restaurant. They had so many different types of waffle toppings, and they even had Kirkland maple syrup from Costco in Canada (the owner used to live in Newfoundland). I had a waffle with hot milk chocolate, bananas and crushed up Oreos. Mom and Dad shared a waffle because they were so big. Each half had different toppings. The owner wrote out our names in Hebrew - check mine out.

Wow George! I have always wanted to swim in the dead sea and I learned something too as I did not know it was earth's lowest elevation on land and the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. You guys are getting such a good education and the chocolate waffles are making me hungry... great pictures.
