I really love the food in Turkey. There are amazing donair and kebab places. There are also a lot of fish places (yuck). We found a very good restaurant where, when Molly goes back, she eats for free, and a pizza place that serves American styles pizzas and salads like at home. It was fun to eat in restaurants at first, but after a while you want cereal or scrambled eggs for dinner.

Guess my menu for Joy next summer will be easy, scrambled eggs & cereal.

Dear George, I understand that in the long run restaurants are not cozy enough. A meal at home is still most satisfying. But I'd gladly join you there in Instanbul for a Baklava dessert! I have discovered a place here in Rome where they offer it and every now and then I indulge in my desire for sweets! Have a great time! I think the picture with the seagull is very very nice! I enjoy all of your blog posts, but mostly I am in a hurry and don't comment. Just know I have read every word from all of you since you were in Rome! :) Hugs.

C'mon George, gimme a break!!! the food you've been taking photos of, and sharing with us....is painful....Bill only eats wieners & beans. honey oat cheerios, and ice cream, plain old ice cream, not gelato!!! I'll trade you places.... love you

Hi George, I'm just catching up on your blog posts. It looks like you guys have seen lot's of interesting things since we departed in Morocco. I love donairs & I am very jealous....but I thought they were invented in Halifax, not Turkey. Sounds like a good Google project!
