Yesterday we arrived in Genova, Italy. We went to see the aquarium, and now my mom is making me write an assignment on an animal. I chose to write about manatees, also known as sea cows. Sea cows are giant, fat, swimming mammals that look like they do absolutely nothing all day, but they are very cute. We saw three adults and one baby. The staff of the aquarium were bottle feeding the baby sea cow when we saw there tank. They were feeding the adults carrots, beets and lettuce but in there natural habitat they eat fresh water and salt water plants such as different types of grasses. These sea cows live around the Atlantic coast line near the U.S. (Alabama, Georgia and other American states) but go to Florida for the winter. When we went to Florida for Christmas two years ago, we saw sea cows in the wild.
