Today's outing in Hue was to the Imperial Palace. The weather was hazy and humid and eventually turned to some hot sun. I regretted wearing pants as they were pretty much stuck to me by 11am.
The palace was home to the Emporer from 1802-1945, pretty recent history. Much of it was destroyed during the Vietnam and great efforts are being made tor restore it. I'm sure it'll take years. Not surprisingly, the kids found it a bit tedious, but why did find some aspects they liked, especially feeding the koi.

We came back to the hotel to rest, cool down, do some school work and crafts. The pool is too chilly for us, but maybe it'll heat up.
We're off to dinner now. Hopefully no chicken heads tonight.
