The one thing that amused us all was the giant mirror sculpture in the park.
For the past two days we've continued our exploration of Jerusalem. We've incorporated some playtime at parks for the kids, as well as museums, a date lunch for adults, alone time and continued studies. (The kids' most recent essays won't be posted - there's some resistant to publicly accessed school work. Fair enough.) Today we visited the Israel Museum. It's a huge, fairly new building and park filled with priceless and beautiful things, but I think I'm officially tiring of museums; they seem like a place where three people are always waiting for one person to see something only they're interested in. For example. we saw a huge model of the city in 70BC, but the kids tired of quickly it when Barry would like to analyze it, I wanted to read the Dead Sea Scrolls but the kids were really not interested in reading page after page on them, and the kids were happy doing crafts in the kids' section where Barry and I had to wait patiently. So all in all, everyone got something out of it, but there seems to be a lot of complaining on the kids' part. Perhaps museums were designed to be discovered solo.

Good Morning my daughter; I'm spending a lazy morning readying about Jerusalem and it brings back memories for me. I'm so glad I have been there too. I could not do the holocaust museum when I was there, I just wasn't that brave. Keep posting it is comforting to hear your adventures, Love Mom
