Our train ride from Pisa to Venice was beautiful this morning. We arrived with bus, train, plane and cruise boats full of other tourists. We found some gelato and cold drinks while we awaited the arrival of my brother, Derek, his wonderful wife and my friend, Debra, and my fantastic 15 year old niece, Evelyn.
We had already settled into our apartment, so when Derek texted to say they were minutes away, I told the kids, and I have never seen them move so fast! They ran to the canal, raced over two bridges and found them: I couldn't keep up. We are so excited to have some family with us.

I've added this next photo of Molly hiding her face in embarrassment because we stopped for drink, and we sat at two small tables: kids and adults. Apparently, Evelyn asked, "Do you have root beer?" and the waiter said, "Si." Molly stated she'd like one too. The waiter, who must be insane, brought the girls two beer! Real beer! Molly is eleven - what was he thinking?!?!
Uncle Derek kindly drank the extra beer and Molly chose something more appropriate.
